Jane has been a very great help to me with my various health issues. When I first contacted her she very helpfully listened while I explained everything that was going on with my health and we arranged our first appointment on the basis of what I had told her. My reason for getting help from Jane was a UTI that had been really distressing me. I had been trying to self-diagnose and thought that the UTI was as a result of a pelvic floor operation that I had 4 years ago. This op had been debilitating for me and it had taken a long time to recover and even to feel normal again seemed impossible.
I know that this condition was caused by constipation as well as the fact I have had 3 children and had one or two issues with their births. Jane was extremely supportive and started me off with small steps to improve my eating habits and some bladder supporting supplements. She also asked me to check my Vitamin D levels by getting a blood test as these had been low in the past.
I had also had a serious chronic illness followed by extensive hospital treatment. I tended towards anxiety and an apprehensive approach to day to day life. We decided that Jane’s dietary recommendations for future prevention would be a great idea and we also looked at ways I could support my anxiety in my daily life. I feel that nutrition and healthy eating has really helped me to feel so much better and in control of my health. I now only drink one or two alcoholic drinks at the weekends and actually don’t miss it at all because I feel so much better.
I believe that my health problems have not been helped by stress and anxiety. I had suffered a few bereavements such as my Mother and Brother but most particularly our first baby Charlotte in 1992 at the age of 7 1/2 months from a heart condition. Her loss has been so hard for my husband and I to bear but speaking to Jane and her understanding manner was so helpful. Her kindness and friendliness are such a benefit and I feel she has really improved my situation.
I feel now that I am on the road to better health, although I’ve a long way to go! Jane helped me so much and I can highly recommend her advice and guidance especially if like me, you are unsure what to do or where to begin to turn things around. Jane’s social media posts were a wonderful way to suddenly get a reminder to have a healthy lunch or bake a healthy flapjack! I love her Facebook page too for lots of useful advice. It means you don’t feel you’re on your own and others are also on their own journey.
I am so grateful that these past few months have made me feel so much better – a stage I never thought I would get to! Thank you so much Jane!
